The Role
We’re looking for someone eager to dive into both the accounting world and the day-to-day flow of office operations. This is a great opportunity to build real skills while contributing to meaningful projects. You’ll get hands-on training, be trusted with important tasks, and play a part in helping us upgrade our financial systems.
You’ll get exposure in everything from manufacturing, e-commerce, and retail while working closely with different departments. If you’re organized, curious, and ready to learn, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
???? Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and payments
- Send out customer invoices & statements and track payments
- Follow up with customers on overdue accounts via email and telephone
- Reconcile account balances
???? Credit Card & Expense Tracking
- Monitor company card usage
- Collect receipts and track expenses
- Help with monthly reconciliations
???? Office & Cash Management
- Keep the office stocked with supplies
- Track petty cash and retail drawer reconciliations
???? Accounting Support
- Assist with data entry and organizing records
- Support monthly close, reports, and audits
???? Cross-Functional Team Support
- Pitch in with customer service during busy times or when short staffed
- Assist HR with employee events, workplace initiatives, and other HR support tasks
- Lend a hand in our retail shop and with special events when needed
???? System Upgrades
- Learn our current accounting system (training provided)
- Be part of the team exploring and rolling out a modern platform

What You Bring
◊ Background or coursework in accounting, finance, or business (degree helpful but not required)
◊ A can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
◊ Solid Excel skills (proficient +)

A Few More Details
This role involves regular computer work and occasional lifting (up to 15 lbs).
This is a flexible position with a minimum of 30 hours/week. We offer reasonable flexibility in how your work time is scheduled throughout the week. Daily work hours can be set between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm, based on business needs and your availability. This role offers the option to work in a hybrid capacity after the initial training period. On-site presence is expected during training, team events, or busy seasonal periods.
Occasional weekends requested (2-3 times/year)
