Upon entering the Christmas Museum, you will be instantly transported to Dickens' London as you walk upon cobblestone streets, taking in the flavor of the old city. You can peer into shop windows and residences filled with Christmas displays, view a short film about the history of Byers' Choice in a theater reminiscent of Victorian England, and try on a top hat, scarf, muff or bonnet to have your picture taken on our street scene.
As you enter The Olde Curiosity Shoppe, the scale of the attractions change with hundreds of Carolers on display in heartwarming Victorian wintertime settings. Here Carolers can be seen completing their Christmas shopping, skating on a frozen mill pond and acting out holiday traditions from around the world.
Another surprise is a trip to the North Pole, with the Kindles inhabiting every nook and cranny. From finishing last-minute toys to baking Christmas cookies to packing Santa's sleigh, the Kindles are always striking just the right balance between work and fun at the holidays. This vision of Santa's workshop is just what every child imagines, complete with gingerbread houses, lots of snow, and even some Kindles sneaking off to the ski slopes!
An added attraction is Bob & Joyce's collection of Christmas creches. It is one of the largest handmade nativity collections in the world with examples from more than 35 different countries. The centerpiece of the collection is an antique Italian precipio. Handcrafted in the 18th century, this is one of only a few complete antique precipio collections in the USA.
